GENERAL CLAIMS PROCEDURE
- Call 0860 60 40 20 to report the incident.
- Report the event to the police if someone has been hurt, in the case of an accident or in the event of any criminal acts such as theft.
- DO NOT admit fault, liability, responsibility or make any offers or payments.
- Download a claim form here or request one by calling 0860 60 40 20.
- Complete the form in full and either email it to claims@imbanihrsinsurance.co.za or fax it to 011 840 6001.
- Very Important: You must send us your claim form within 30 days of the incident.
MOTOR ACCIDENT CLAIMS
- At the scene of an accident, call 0860 60 40 20 to call for IMBANI HRS Assist roadside assistance and towing.
- DO NOT admit fault, liability, responsibility or make any offers or payments.
- Download a claim form here or request one by calling 0860 60 40 20.
- We will need the following from you:
- Copy of ID book and driver’s licence.
- Quotation for repair
- Copy of vehicle registration certificate
- Police (SAPS) case number and name of police station where incident was reported
- If applicable, other vehicle’s details (registration, make, model), driver’s contact details (name, phone numbers, ID number) and insurer’s information.
- If applicable, description of other property damaged as well as owner’s information.
- If anyone other than you or your family were hurt, we’ll also need their information (name, contact numbers, relationship to accident, hospital where treated)
- If possible, the contact info of independent witnesses.
- A sketch of the accident scene.
- We will inform you if your vehicle is to be written off. Should this be the case, we’ll need the following from you:
- Vehicle keys, manual and service book
- Original vehicle registration certificate
- If financed, letter from bank stating settlement figure
- Two signed change-of-ownership forms
- Important: if you email or fax the documents to us, we’ll still need the originals in order to finalise the claim.
MOTOR THEFT CLAIMS
In the case of theft, we’ll need the following documents from you:
- Copy of ID document and driver’s licence
- Copy of vehicle registration certificate and both sets of keys
- Police case number and station where reported
- If financed, letter from bank stating settlement figure
- Proof of vehicle security e.g. alarm, immobiliser, tracking device
GLASS & WINDSCREEN CLAIMS

PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE CLAIMS
For geyser, plumbing or electrical emergencies, please call IMBANI HRS Assist on 0860 60 40 20.

We’ll need the following documents from you when submitting your claim:
- Quotations to replace items
- Police case number, if applicable, and station where reported
- Proof that you own the stolen items
- Blacklisting documents in the case of stolen mobile phones
- For contact lenses or spectacles, a letter from your medical aid stating there is no cover provided by them
- In case of lightning strike or electricity surge, we’ll need confirmation of installation of lightning protection/UPS devices
- Activation and response report from security company, if applicable
- Important: if you email or fax the documents to us, we’ll still need the originals in order to finalise the claim.
